Chromebooks:

Chromebooks will be sent home with students in grades 1-5. They are distict-issued and assigned to each student, therefore, they are able to take them home with them. Students will bring them back at the start of school next year for use throughout the year. We don't have space (with construction happening in the building) to "hold" Chromebooks for students at school, so if you don't plan on having them use their device over the summer, please just find a safe place to store them until next school year. If you are leaving to go to another school - your student will take their device with them to that new school. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to reach out to your child's teacher or the office.

Yearbooks:

It's not too late to order this year's yearbook!  Orders placed now will be directly shipped to your house and you will need to pay for shipping.  Please visit https://www.treering.com/purchase?PassCode=1016609189774733 to order!

Picture of environmental club hour of (no) power competition presentation to staff

Students present their Renew Our Schools competition information to faculty in the library.

A BIG HUTCH SHOUT OUT to Ms. Cornado and our Environmental Club. As a school we participated in our Renew our Schools competition. They taught us how to conserve our energy by turning off light, shutting off technology, unplugging the things not in use. Through that learning, we were able to conserve a lot of energy – enough that we won the competition that included several schools in the district. The grand prize was $23,000 for our school!!! This is so very exciting. Thank you all for participating.

Woohoo! Watch D.O.G.S.  (Dads of Great Students)

We're over half way through the 22-23 school year.  Our group of 48 DOGS has volunteered for a total of 57 shifts!  Nice work guys.  Right now is typically a slow time of year for volunteers at the school and a most excellent time to sign up for a shift. From Kyle Converse, Hutch Watch D.O.G.S. Leader, 2/28/23.

Thanks Kyle for your commitment to the Watch DOGS program and for your leadership in improving the experience for our teachers, students, and parents at Hutchinson elementary school.  My volunteer experience has been great (thank you to Kim and her staff!) and I encourage all Dad's to participate in the Watch DOGS program because it does make a difference and is really an easy way to impact our school and community in a positive way!  From Chad Slaughter, Watch D.O.G.S. 2/28/23.
